Bottle Baby Fostering
Welcome to the special time of kitten and puppy season, where we often encounter very young pets unable to eat on their own. To ensure their survival, we rely on the support of foster homes. This type of fostering is a bit more hands-on, as it involves feeding the young animals every few hours for up to two weeks. Rest assured, SSCFOA provides bottle baby fosters with training and everything needed to care for these adorable beings.
Throughout the fostering period, a dedicated SSCFOA representative will stay in touch with the foster parent, providing updates on the placement of the animals. Join us in nurturing these little ones and making a lasting impact on their lives! πΎπ
Medical Foster
Animals picked up by animal control often come with life-threatening injuries, litters of kittens or puppies, or are very young or elderly. Medical fosters play a crucial role in providing a peaceful and safe environment for these animals. They require foster parents with the time and dedication to monitor the pet’s wellness and progress closely. Throughout the fostering period, a compassionate SSCFOA representative will maintain regular communication with the foster, keeping them updated on the plan for the animal’s future. Join us in offering these animals the care and attention they need to thrive! πΎπ
Awaiting Transport
Certain SSCFOA pets have been tagged by a rescue and are in need of temporary refuge as they await transport. Foster parents for these pets may be requested to take them to vet appointments or, occasionally, drive them to a rescue.
Becoming a foster parent
Foster parents are required to fill out a foster application. SSCFOA reserves the right to deny applications if we feel it is in the best interest of the animal or applicant.
